I seem to have weathered the storm.

In short there was an outage that, had people been looking for a scapegoat,
I was the first in line. Luckily I have a solid CYA policy and had all my
process ducks lined up, and it went past me, but it was a reminder that I
work in an uncertain career field and being a contract vender makes it even
more uncertain.
